    The French and Indian war began in 1754 and ended with the treaty of Paris in 1763. It disputes over paying the war's expenses which led to the American Revolution.

    The Proclamation of 1763 was a British-produced boundary marked in the Appalachian Mountains. It prohibited Anglo-American colonists from settling on lands acquired from the French following the French and Indian War. It started on October 7, in 1763 and it ended in 1783
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act is also called Plantation Act or Revenue Act. This was the British legislation aimed at ending the smuggling trade in sugar and molasses from the French. The Sugar Act ended in 1766.
  • Stamp Act of 1766

    The Stamp Act started in 1765 and ended in 1766 on March 18th. Parliament affirmed it's power to legislate for the colonie "in all cases whatsoever" by also passing the Declaratory Act.

    Townshend Acts started on June 29th, 1767 and ended in April 1770. It was series of measures, passes by the British Parliament that taxed good imported to the American colonies, but american colonists who had no representation in Parliament.

    It was a deadly riot that occurred on March 5, 1770 and ended on the same day later that afternoon. The fight happened because a British loyalist fired a gun at the patriotis but killed a boy. The patriotis started fighting the British soldiers to get even or restitution.

    They passed this act so they could go instead of stop. It gives the British people the right to ship the tea to the colonies without having to deal with Britain getting the taxes too. It started in 1773 and ended in 1861.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    This was a political protest because they were mad at the british for their taxation without representation. They got a bunch of british tea and threw it into the harbor. It happened on December 16, 1773. It was a one day thing.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    The laws were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for their defiance in the Tea Party protest. They switched the taxes and made more laws. It started in 1774 and ended in 1775.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    1st Continental Congress
    It was meetings held in Philadelphia by congress men. Where they wanted to establish the rights of the american people to separate themselves from Britain. They also planed for the Second Continental Congress. Started on September 5th in 1774 and ended on October 26 in 1774.
