  • The Proclamation of 1763

    It was rules for European settlement. The European settlement that was there is Part of North America now.
  • The French and Indian war

    The war was Great Britain against France. The colonists did not Like the rules of Great Britain's so they went to war.
  • The Sugar Act

    Britain raised the price of sugar and the colonists needed sugar to make rum. Rum was one of their main trading things.
  • Stamp Act of 1766

    Great Britain needed help to pay for more British troops in the war. So, the colonists need to pay tax which were stamps.
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    It helped pay for things in the American colonies. It had governing and used taxes.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston massacre was a fight with a patriots and British soldiers. Many people were killed
  • Tea Act

    The people who made the tea in Britain got a right to ship their tea to the colonies. It also added tax for tea.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The colonists were mad that they had to pay tax for tea. So, they dumped all of the tea in the water.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable acts were 4 laws passed by the British. It was to teach a lesson to the colonists for the Boston Tea Party
  • 1st Continental Congress

    The colonists and Britain met up to talk about America's future. They had a Declaration of Rights.
