  • Pontiac Rebellion

    Pontiac Rebellion
    Pontiac rebels against British rule. He led the Ottawa, Ojibwa, Shawnee, Miami, Huron, Seneca & Potawatomi tribes against the British. He attacked the frontier forts.
    Outcome: Proclamation Line

    Outcome: Settlers getting angry.
  • Sugar Act

    Tax is placed on sugar, wine and coffee. Was created to counter smuggling of foreign sugar and establish British monopoly.
    Outcome: Settlers refuse to pay the tax.
    Thought it was a way to limit freedom.

    An act saying that "Colonists must supply British troops with living quarters, bedding, food, beer, cider and rum".

    Outcome: Settlers still mad at the British

    Pontiac and the British make a treaty.
    Outcome: End of rebellion
