Pontiac Rebellion
Pontiac rebels against British rule. He led the Ottawa, Ojibwa, Shawnee, Miami, Huron, Seneca & Potawatomi tribes against the British. He attacked the frontier forts.

Sugar Act
Tax is placed on sugar, wine and coffee. Was created to counter smuggling of foreign sugar and establish British monopoly.
Outcome: Settlers refuse to pay the tax.
Thought it was a way to limit freedom. -
Quartering Act
An act saying that "Colonists must supply British troops with living quarters, bedding, food, beer, cider and rum".
Outcome: Settlers get mad

Cause: Under strong pressure from the colonies, and with their economy slumping.

Pontiac and the British make a treaty.
Outcome: End of rebellion
