    Continental Congress Meets
    All states send a representative to the meeting, excpect for Georgia. All of the representatives voted to sennd a "statement of grievances." Which is a letter that was sent to Great Britain to repeal the 13 acts of Parliment. All of the representatives vote to boycott all Birtish trade. When they said this they meant that they were not going to use or import British goods, and they aren't going to sell their goods in Great Britain.
  • 1,000 Redcoats in Boston

    1,000 Redcoats in Boston
    General Gage brought over 1,000 British Soldiers to Boston. There was some more on the way. He brought them to Boston because it was one of the main trade imports out of all of the 13 colonies.

    Paul Revere rides solo to warn the Sons of Liberty that the british are coming. He rode to Lexington and Concord. He did this because minutemen were ready for anything to pop out.

    The Battle of Lexington was the first war of the American Revolutionary War. The first shot that was shot in the war was known as "The shot that was heard aroung the world." The British won that war. In the Battle of concord the Americans had more soldiers, ammo. The amercians force the British back to Boston and make them Retreat. Americans won the Battle of Concord

    The people who led the capture of this fort went by Benedict Arnold and Ethan Allen. They took the fort, they needed to capture this because the americans were in desperate need of ammo and cannons and guns. Fort Ticonderoga had all of these.

    The congress decides to print money and set up the post office. General George Washington creates a Continental Army. Which is the first ever actual army the US has had. The congress decided to send a olive branch to the king to protect their rights. The king didn't like that so he sent 30,000 hessian soldiers. Hessian soldiers were known as one of the most dangerous soldiers, they originated from Germany.

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    They fought on Breeds Hill. A ffamous quote from that war is "Dont fire until you see the white of their eyes."- William Prescott. The americans ran out of ammo leading them to fall back and British getting another victory.

    When Washington arrives in Boston and realized that his men needed a lot of training. None of them haven't been in an actual army. Washington also needed guns and ammo, a lot of it.

    British Surrender Boston
    Washington believed that his army was ready to Battle the British. He put his cannons and men on the Highground of Boston, which was Dorchester. The British saw that the Americans had the highground and British retreated out of Boston.

    The Declaration was signed by the most important people in Congress. Some Such as John Adams, John Handcock, Samuel Adams and many more. The United States have declared there freedom from Great Britain.
