    The Battle of lexington was the 1st battle of the revoloutionary war, the first shot was known as " the shot heard round the world" first spoken by Ralph Waldo Emerson. The British won the battle at Lexington and imeadtiantly marched to concord. It forced the redcoats to retreat back to Boston. Concord was an American victory.
