    In 1763, at the end of the French and Indian War, the British issued a proclamtion to conciliate the Indians by checking the enroachment of settlers on their lands. This proclamtion has since become one of the cornerstones of Native American law in the United States and Canada. This proclamation angered many colonists, causing even more anti-British acts, which eventually helped escalate to the Revolutionary War.

    The Stamp Act was a new tax that forced all Americans and colonists to pay tax on every piece of printed paper they purchased. This angered many colonists because it seemed like this was a direct attmept by England to raise money in the colonies without the apporoval of colonial legistlatures.

    The Townshend Acts were a series of measures introduced into Parliement. These acts imposed duties on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. This angered colonists becasuse they felt that tax was coming now in the form of duty on imports into the colonies.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight between a "patriot" mob and a squad of British soldiers. Several colonists were killed, which led to campaign speeches by speech-writers to rouse the ire of citizenry. The Britsh were unwelcome in the city of Boston anyway, so this could be considered the very beginnings of the American Revolution.

    The Intolerable Acts are;
    The Boston Port Act
    The Administration of Justice Act
    Massachusetts Government Act
    Quarting Act
    Quebec Act
    Because of these acts, the colonies were pressed for greater taxes without any representation from Britain. This eventually led to the Boston Tea Party because it angered the patriots.

    The Tea Act was not intended to raise financial income in the colonies, but intended to prop the East India Colony, which was foundering financially and burdened with 8 million pounds of unsold tea. The tea was to be shipped directly to the colonies and sold at bargain price. This would launch the final spark to the American Revolution.

    The Boston Tea Party was when a group of Masachusets Patriots went on a midnight raid on three ships and threw 342 chests of tea and threw them into the Boston Harbour when protesting the monopoly on American tea being imported from the East India Company.

    click here The French and Indian War was a war in America in which France and its Indian allies opposed England from 1754 to 1760. This hatred between the French and English from this war helped light the fire and America gain allies for the Revolutionary War.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first military action of the American Revolution. It is what officially begin the Revolution.

    CLCIK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!With the Revolutioanry War in full swing, the movement for independence in America had grown. The delegates of the Continental Congress were forced to vote on the issue. The Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence in Philidelphia on July 4th, a date now celebebrated as the American Independence from England. This was the end of the Revolutionary War.
