There was a fire in the Reichstag building and there was a lot of hysteria. Many of the rights of people were taken away and Hitler began to gain more power. -
The Enabling Act is Introduced
The Nazi party introduces the Enabling Act to the public. This basically gave a ton of power to the chancellor/Hitler without needing to go by the constitution. -
Concentration Camps Open
The Nazi party declared that those who disagree with their ideas will be put to work. This was the beginning of the concentration camps. -
Death of President Hindenburg and Aftermath
After the death of Hindenburg, Hitler assumed power. He took a big vote, and almost 90% supported him. He now had total control. -

Hitler accused the Czechs of persecuting the Studetenland, so he invaded them, claiming is was for peace. -
Germany's armed forces grow
Germany’s armed forces had more than 900,000 soldiers, 8,000 aircraft and 95 warships. Armed forces were becoming more powerful. -
New Foreign Policy
Hitler feared for the economy of Germany, and wanted to be more self-reliant, so he planned to use the resources of other countries.
