    The Great Fire of Rome was a fire that broke out and took out 10 of the 14 districts in Rome. The Great fire was finally extinguished after six days of burning. The Great fire all started at the massive Circus Maxims. The Emperor Nero was blamed for the fire but he claims he was playing the fiddle at the time the fire was started. One problem about Rome was that it was made up of many slums which were wooden buildings that could be engulfed quickly.

    Paul of Tarsus was also know by his Jewish name Saul of Tarsus. he was an apostle who taught the gospel of Christ to the 1st century world. Paul died by Decapitation in 64 when he was only 61-62 yrs old. Paul was not always a follower of Christ in the year 36 while on the way to Damascus Christ appeared to him and he converted. After he brought the gospel back and taught to Damascus and Arabia. Paul wrote 14 surviving letters that had a big impact and was know as one of the greatest leaders.

    The first Jewish-Roman war began in 66 AD. There was a revolt by the future Roman emperors Vespasian and Titus. In 70 AD in the Siege of Jerusalem the Romans destroyed many of the temples and stool artifacts from the temple. Rome ruled Israel since 64 BC during the New Testament era, when the Roman empire had ruled most of the known world.

    Vibia Perpetua was a Christian martyr who wrote "The Passion of Saints" Perpetua had a journal telling of her story, her trial and imprisonment that was continued by someone else who described Perpetua’s death in the arena. She was very into her religion and she was also a young mother, she was the daughter of a prosperous provincial family. After 201, Roman emperor Septimius Severus did not allow the conversion to Christianity or Judaism, and in 203 the governor of Carthage enforced this edict.

    Constantine was a Roman Emperor whole ruled between 306-337 AD. They were going to battle and he had a vision, that they were going to fight and it would be under God. He was the reason that Christianity was spread through Rome. They went to battle under the power of God and they won. After he had come back and accepted Christianity into Rome. Constantine made Christianity legal, and had built a city with a main church named Constantinople.

    The Great Persecution was the last and most severe persecution of Christians in the Roman empire. Diocletian's goal was to wipe out the church, he hunted down Christians a their Scriptures. Diocletian destroyed the church buildings and took over. As many as 3,000 Christians were executed. Emperors Diocletian, Maximian, Gallerias, and Constantine wanted everything back to normal tradition, so the Issued legal rights demanding old traditional practice.

    The battle of the Milvian Bridge took place between Roman Emperors Constintine and Maxentius.In 306 Constantine was declared emperor at York, but Maxentius claimed the imperial title in Rome. In 312 Constantine prepared to go to battle with his rival forces. The stone-built bridge had been reduced in width in order to keep Constantine’s forces back, so Maxentius’s men had crossed the Tiber River. His decision to retreat was catastrophic. His intention was to remove, protecting his troops.

    The Edict of Milan was an agreement made in February 313 AD. That agreement stated that all Christians needed to be treated the same ad the persecutions of Christians needed to stop. This agreement included the Roman Emperors Constantine and Licinius. After the acceptance of Christianity is spread rapidly throughout the Roman Empire and Europe.

He reunited the east and west of Rome but was the last emperor to rule over eastern an western halves of the Roman Empire.Theodosius had two wives, Aelia Flavia Flaccilla, and Galla. Theodosius enacted laws against pagan practices, and put an end to the Olympic games. He was sometimes called the great because of is solution of the Gothic problem and unification of the empire.
