Constantine the Great
Constantine wins the battle at Milvian Bridge in 312 AD.
He then Meets the Emperor and passes the Edict of Milan.
Constantine has a vision as he was surveying the land the day before the battle. The vision was of a cross of Christianity.
one thing he did was put XP on his shields which were the first letters of Jesus name in Greek. -

This was a battle between the Roman Empire and Maxenitus.
It gets its name from the important route that goes over the Tiber.
The Romans won the battle. (Constantine)
Maxenitus drowned in the river during the battle.
His body was later found and taken out of the river and decapitated. -

The Great Persecution
The first Persecutions were by the Emperor Nero in 64 AD. These were because Nero used the Christians as a escape goat for the fire.
There were many Christians fed to animals.
Others burned at the stake.
There were even ones put in the Colosseum with no weapons or training. -

In 64 AD A great fire Burned the city of Rome.
It lasted a total of 6 days and burned 65% of Rome in total.
Many believe that Nero did the fire to bypass the Senate at the time so he could build Rome how he pictured it.
There were gangs of people and thugs that stopped people from putting out the fire.
Christians were living in an unharmed area and caused people to think they did. Nero helped people believe this. -
