    The great fire of Rome under the rule of Nero. What started out as a small fire turned into an inferno that over six days destroyed 2/3rd of Rome. Some of the citizens believed that Nero himself was responsible for the fire as a way to get past the senate to be able to make Rome new again. When the fire was finally extinguished it had stopped at the christian community in the city. This lead people to believe that Christians started the fire, because of this Christians began to be prosecuted.

    The Battle of the Milvian Bridge took place between the Roman Emperors Constantine I and Maxentius on 28 October 312. It takes its name from the Milvian Bridge, an important route over the Tiber. The day before the battle Constantine and all of his troops looked to the sky and found a cross in the clouds and later that night a spirit told him that the symbol would make him victorious in tomorrows battle. So the next day all of the soldiers carved a cross into there sheilds. They won the battle.
