WWI-the cause and spark
World War One began in Europe. There were many countries trying to get power. But what started the war wasthe murder of Archduke Franz Fredinand of Astria-Hungary, by Serb. From there Austria-Hungary declared war on Russia, and the alliances joined the fight.

Over Throwing Tsar Nicholas
In 1917 a revolution forced tsar Nicholas II to give up his throne. He was over thrown because, he was giving all Russia's money to the war. While instead he should have been giving it to the starving people on the streets.

The Roaring Twenties
The middle to late twenties America became very wealthy, the econemy grew rapidly. Americans used there money to buy many new things. People bought, cars, electric appliances, and radios, new music such as jazz grew. The economic boom was a very fast-paced time.

The rise of communism & Joseph Stalin

America During the Great Depression
During the Great Depression, Americians could not find a jobs. Many people became hobos, and the other families took to life on the road. More than a million people lost there homes, and didnt have enough to eat.

World War Two-Nazi Germany
Political leader Adolf Hitler took advantage of Germanies poverty. He led an organization called the Nazi Party. Hitler and the Nazis promised to chanage Germany back to its glory. Hitler became the dictator of Germany, and built up the Nazi army.Using theats and military force he took control of the land around Germany. -
Pearl Harbor
In 1941 Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It was an attempt to bring America into the war. The day after the attack we declared war on Japan.

The Cold War happened after WWII, even though the US and Soveit Union worked togeather they still fought. The US was capitalism and Soveit Union was communist. During 1945through 1991 they sent thearts back and forth about nuking each other.

North Korea

Vietnam
One "hot" spot in the Cold War was the Veitnam war in the 1960's. North Veitnam was communist and the South Veitnam was capitalism. When South Veitnam was invaded by North Veitnam, North Veitnam won. Now it is just Veitnam and they are all communist.
