    This society had the goal of colonization, which is moving African Americans out of the country. They did not believe in equality so the focused on relocation. They got money from the federal government to further this, and they. helped create a colony of Liberia. This is just one of the ways white reformers approached slavery while trying to solve it in different ways. They tried to solve the problem by getting rid of it.

It scared people and they didn't want something similar to happen again. The South blamed the North for provoking the slaves to rebel like this.

He published 'Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave Written by Himself' where he wrote about his life as slave in maryland. He wrote the names of the people who brutalized him so he had to flee to avoid being murdered. It brought a lot of awareness about slave life and he later published an abolitionist newspaper.
