It was a series of events on the evening of Saturday, October 20, 1973, during the Watergate scandal in the United States. -
Gerald Ford
Gerald Ford became the 38th President after Richard Nixon resigned. He granted Nixon a "full pardon" which made Nixon immune to criminal prosecution. He committed "Political Suicide" and became known as the Caretaker President.
Changes occurred in the gov't during his presidency; More rules/restrictions on campaign financing and "Watchdog" groups was formed to watch the gov't.
