    American Revolution
    The French used the Declaration of Independence and the idea of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. They changed it to The Declaration of the rights of Man; Liberty, Equality , and Fraternity. Liberty means loyalty to ones country, equality means every man is equal to one another, and fraternity meaning the loyalty they have towards one another. George Washington Inauguration helped give the idea of a democracy to France and not a Monarchy.

    The French Revolution was caused because of the mistreatment of the the third estate. They were taxed heavily, up to 50% while the other two estates were barely taxed anything. They also had a lack of representation in the government, they had the largest population out of all the other estates, but didn't have a say in the government.

    This tennis court oath happened because the third estate was not properly represented in the government. When the first and second estate held a meeting the third estate raided the palaces indoor tennis court. They vowed to meet until they came up with a new constitution.

    The Declaration of the rights of man was inspired by the american Declaration of Independence. They also had the same concepts of liberty, equality, and fraternity. It is also a fundamental document including the basic human rights. The Declaration of the right of man treated all three estates equally a fair.

    Toussaint L'Ouverture whose father was a slave, but was born a free slave. He was very upset because the french people were hypocrites and did not apply liberty, equality, and fraternity to the mulattos and mestizos. He decided to be treated equally the only thing he could do was liberate Haiti from France.

    The people of France, mostly the third estate, was fed up with Louis XVI over spending on his house, The Palace of Versailles which is currently worth up to two billion dollars. His wife was also executed because of wasting the taxpayers dollar by gambling it all away. The people had enough of the mistreatment and executed him with the guillotine.

    (September 5 1793-July 281795)Maximilian de Robespierre felt threatened by anyone who questioned his authority and executed them. He would execute people who wasted his time through false accusations. He murdered over 40,000 people by the guillotine.

    Napoleon was just an armies general before he took over France. He became a hero because he kept political officials safe while under attack. He was known as a hero so then he took advantage of that a started to rule France. He was officially noted as an emperor on May 18 1804

    A war between the British and the Spanish and French combined. It was a naval war fought at the cape of Trafalgar. The British defeated the French so bad it led to their downfall.

    A battle fought between the Belgium and the British combined against the French. This Battle was so devastating it ended Napoleon's reign. He was jailed, but escaped he was later on found and jailed on the island of St. Helen

    The European Nations came together in Vienna Austria to defeat Napoleon. Their goal was to make a new balance of power in Europe so one country didn't have all the power. They did this all successfully and one country didn’t hold all the power.

    Simon Bolivar was a creole born in Venezuela and helped it get its independence from Spain. He gained their Independence by defeating Spain in in the Battle of Ayacucho Peru. This finally made Venezuela free and the end of the Spanish rule.

    A U.S policy that President James Monroe made up which made sure the European wouldn't try and invade the Americas again. This helped recognized that Latin American nations were independent. If European nation tried to conquer any independent nation in the western hemisphere, the us would see it as an act of war.
