    The French were involved and the Native Americans were in a bloody war with the Colonists fighting for land. This impacted the people of the colonist a lot because of their shortage of supplies.

    Britain passed a series of four laws declaring its authority over the colonies. The Townshend Acts suspended one colonial representative assembly and also set it up strict measures for collecting taxes.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    British troops were called about an angry mob, complaining about the taxes. The mob started harassing the British troops, and the colonist then ended up throwing something at the British troops, which made the British fire their guns, killing five colonists.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Boston tea party was an event that happen when the people of Boston wanted the tax on tea to stop, so they decided to go on boats with tea and start to open the boxes of tea and pour them into the water.

    Tea Act
    The tea act was a tax on tea so it can give a special advantage to the British East India Company. When the act was made, most tea merchants would lose their business.

    British are after colonists, weapons, and supplies. Captain John Parker and his militia fought at Lexington and later at concord. 8 colonists are killed.

    The British defeated the Americans. Even though the Americans lost, the inexperienced colonial forces inflicted significant casualties against the enemy.

    The declaration of independence was a general statement of natural rights theory and the purpose of government, which was signed by the British and England for their rights and freedom.
