    Tax Stamp Act
    Tax stamp act was put in place for the American colonist to pay taxes to England. The taxes were placed on paper products like newspapers, marriage license, and governmental documents. The stamp showed that you paid the tax on the paper. The colonist complained about the stamp act saying it is unfair to the people who cant afford the extra money on the tax.   • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was an event that started when King George sent troops to the colonies after the colonist rebelled against the tax stamps. The sending of the troops started the reaction of throwing snowballs at the British army. This caused the British to fire at the colonist throwing the snowballs.     The act was put in place after the tax on paper was rebuked. The tax was then put on tea for the tax to go to England. The American colonies were mad about this which brought up the Boston tea party.     Lexington an Concord was the first actual military encounter between the thirteen colonies and British. The British were sent to search and destroy supposed military supplies and the militia and British army encountered. Then was the first shot known as the shot heard around the world.     This battle was the first actual action of the continental army. The Continental army got high ground on the hill nut then got surrounded by British.     Common sense was written by Thomas pain and spread out in articles and newspapers. The words of Thomas Paine explained his belief about the troubles with the British. The writing talked about independence and it made a big riot about the troubles with the British.     The main creator of the Declaration of Independence was Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration of independence said how they had a good relationship, the problems between them, and how the colonies want independence. The document is also known as one of the most important documents in the US.     The battle was known as George Washington's first actual successful battle. The battle had the colonials retreat through the Delaware River. This helped create the battle plan of evacuating and battling in the colonial army.     This Battle is one of the major turning points in the war. Coming out of the winter very strong and resupplied the continental army had a surprise attack against the British. The British unprepared were hit hard with many casualties with the battle won by the patriots.     After another loss in the battle of Germantown the continental army went a few miles away to place called Valley Forge. The winter was cold and rough and the army did not have good clothing. But because of the leadership of George Washington the continental army got more food good clothing and more troops. After the long winter the continental army came out confident and ready for battle. Valley Forge is symmetrical because both armies suffered the winter.

    The battle started when the last land for the British to take over was the south or Charleston. This battle was a very deadly and bloody battle. The control of the war was going back and forth and this was one of many turning points in the battle.     Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle of the Revolutionary war. The war was a victory for the combined forces of French and Patriots over the British. The forces helped to get the British to surrender and come to a piece treaty between them and the British.
