War Starts

Declaration of Independence was signed.

British Surrender at Saratoga Springs
While traveling to Albany, British were confronted by the Patriots and were forced to surrender when the British reinforcements failed to arrive. This was a big turning point in the war because the British were winning but after Patriots captured a load of troops and land, they look the lead and were thriving.
