Boston Massacre
The citizens began taunting British soldiers and throwing snowballs at them. The British soldiers opened fire onto the angry crowd and killed 5 civilians. The soldiers were put on trial and found not guilty People all over the colonies were furious. -

Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was signed by the Americans to have Independence from the British. They sent a copy of the document to the King stating that they want Independence and they are ready to fight for it. -
Battle of Fort Washington & Fort Lee
The 2 battles took place during Nov 16 and Nov 20, 1776. The Americans were defeated by the British. Around 3,000 Americans were overwhelmed and captured. The American army diminished significantly. -
