The Boston Tea Party
Ships loaded with British tea docked in the Boston Harbor on December 16, 1773. The colonists demanded that they leave and the British refused. They did not want the British king to get angry for not selling th tea. Then that night the colonists; dressed like nativesthey snuck into the harbor on boat and dumped 340 chests of tea off of the ships. -

Battle at Lexington and Concord
Lexington: At the battle in Lexington, 70o minutemen tried to stop the British, * men were killed and the British advanced. Concord: In the battle in Concord, all weapons were mostly hidden by the time the British arrived. Angry the British set fire to Buildings. Remaining minutemen used snipers/sharpshooters ans forced the British to retreat. -
Battle at Bunker Hill
Even though it was literally the ballte at Breed's Hill, it is the most famous conflict and the firat official battle of the Revolutionary War. There were about 1,600 militia men on the fortified hill and all of the men were told one big thing by the Commander, he ordered "Do not fire until you see the whites of thier eyes" The British made three advances the first two the colonists fended the British off; on the third attempt the colonists had run out of amunition and fleed. -
Dorchester Heights
George Washington moved his army to Dorchester Heights to overlook Boston from the south. The followingf morning British General Willioan Howe and his army retreated after they saw the position Washington and his army were in. -

On July 4, 1776 Congress finally approved on the large paper known as the Declaration of Independence written by Thomas Jefferson. -
Battle of Saratoga
The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point in the Revolutionary War. For half of the war the FRench were staying thier distance away from the war and when the patriots won at Saratoga, the French decide that they would fight because they thought that the Americans may have finally had a chance to win the war. -

This day was a major loss for the War in the South when General Clinton scored one of thier biggest victories for the British. -
Battle at Yorktown
The Battle at Yorktown was the last big battle of the Revoulutionary War. Washingtons plan was to block General Cornwallis from andy supplies and escapes out of Yorktown. Camte de Rachambeau was a French leader that commanded a group that came together to cut off other escape routes in Yorktown. And finally, on October 18th of 1781 General Cornwallis surrendered and ended the Revolutionary War. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treay of Paris was a written document that stated the United States was recognized as independant, it set new borders in the west and the British leaders accepted the new American Rights.
