    The French and British had colonies in North America but the British wanted more land so that they could trade with the Indians. The French wanted to protect their land so the British declared war. It was then called the French and Indian War.
    Britain and France ended the war and signed the Treaty of Paris., on October 7th, 1763.

    After the French and Indian war, King Charles III made goals. They were to esablisbh governments in the new territory the gained from the war, and to gain peace between colonist and remaining indian tribes.
