  • Boston Tea Party

    Several men against the taxes dressed up like mohawk indians and attacked a tea ship and poured birtish tea into the boston harbor.

  • The intolerable acts

    They were laaws passed by parlament to punish the colonist for dumping the tea into the harbor.

  • Lexington and Concord

    British troops planned to march to Concord to seize the colonist weapons. They were confronted at Lexington where a fight broke out and the british ended up reteating.

  • Washington becomes the head of the army

    He was selected over others due to his prior experince in the army.

  • The signing of the Declaration of Independence

    The document written by Thomas Jefferson was signed on independance day.

  • Battle of Long Island

    The continental army lost the battle and lost control of New York. This battle made George Washington change his battle plan.

  • Battle of Saratoga

    The battle lasted until October7th. The defeat of the British in this battle convinced the French to allie with us in the war
