Revolution Timeline of events

  • Treaty of Paris 1763

    British Imposition The treaty ended the war between the French and the Indians. It also ended the Great Britain and France war.
  • Proclamation Act

    It means King George was practically telling everyone what amount of land he owned.
  • Sugar Act of 1764

    British Imposition The British had imposed taxes on sugar in 1764.
  • Stamp Act 1765

    It' where the British parliament made people put stamps on documents.
  • Quartering Act

    This makes the colonies citizens allow soldiers to sleep in their house's, and provide food for them.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    This was a meeting between some of the citizens in New York city, that have been elected to represent their colony.
  • Stamp Act Repealed

    This is when there was no more Stamp Act in place.
  • Declaratory Act

    It was an act that lessened the sugar act, and accompanied the stamp act.
  • Townshend Act

    It was a series of acts. It was named after Charles Townshend.

    British killed five colonists, because the colonists were acting out due to so many taxes.

    They were shadow governments organized by the Patriot Leaders.

    The act was reducing the amount of tea the British were holding.

    It was where citizens in Boston threw tea off of a boat destroying the goods.
