    the proclamation was issued after the American and Indian war. the proclamation was made to appease the Indians from anyone passing on their land they could check them. it was also put into place to slow the expansion westward

    the was a tax that collected tax on molasses. Molasses was the main sweetener for colonist and the primary ingredient for their rum. the sugar act had made molasses cheaper and it lowered the tax from 6 pence a gallon to 3 pence.
