French and Indian War-Seven Years War
It started in 1754 between France and their Native American allies against Britain over the Ohio Valley Territory. The fighting continued and Spain joined France, and fighting continued in Europe and Asia. -

This proclamation stoped westward expansion to the colonists further than the Appalachians to give the indians their hunting grounds back. -

This tax taxed the colonists on sugar and any other goods coming to the 13 colonies from anywhere, but Great Britain. -

This act was a tax on any legal document like newspapers, almanacs, and even playing cards. You got a stamp on the document to show you paid the tax. -

The colonists are angry so parliament in Britain repeal both the stamp act and the sugar act, but that is not the end of the taxes in colonists. -
Townshend Act Passed
This tax is a tax on lead, glass, paint, paper, and tea brought into the colonies. -
Boston Massacre
Tensions are bubbling over and the colonist start calling a group of British soldiers names and throwing snowballs and rocks so the british officers fire their muskets five total people are killed. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was a protest on the tax on tea. During the party 342 tea chests were broken open and dumped into the ocean. This protest was performed by the sons of liberty who were a group of people against British rule. -
First Continental Congress
The first Continental Congress was the first formal meeting of are delegates of the Thirteen Colonies. During the meeting they decided to from a resistance against Parliament's repulsive acts. -
The Battle of Lexington and Concord
This battle started when the British got wind that the colonists had a stash of weapons in Lexington & Concord and went to confiscate them, but the local militia stopped them. -
The Second Continental Congress
This was the second meeting of the delegates of the Thirteen Colonies. The meeting was held to discuss the war effort pu up by the colonial attempts to stop the British. -
The Battle of Bunker Hill
During this battle the British won, but despite the colonist lose the battle proved that the Americans can fight, and stand a stance. -
The Declaration of Independence
The declaration of Independence was a formal document that stated the rights of the colonists and the wrongs of King George III and how the colonies were now free from British rule. -
Battle of Sseratoga
The battle of saratoga was considered a turning point in the war. Because of this victory the patriots got recruits of the french and supplies from them. This battle was also considered the most valuable victory in the war. -

Valley Forge was a camp that consisted of about 12,000 continental army soldiers many died here because of injury sickness or starvation. -
Battle of Yorktown
The battle of Yorktown is considered the last key and important battle of the revolution. Even though battles continued for two more years the Battle of Yorktown is considered the last major battle that wrapped up the revolution. -
Treaty of Paris
The treaty of Paris officially ended the revolutionary war. It declared that said the patriots that won and it also gave the thirteen colonies land until the Louisiana border owned by the french.
