  • Molasses Act

    Molasses Act
    This act taxed all of the molasses/sugar that was coming to North America from non-British colonies. The colonists did not like this and protested it, they though it would put other trade systems at risk. The British Government loved this act because they made more money due to the control they had over the trade.   • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    This act was meant to help the currency system. The colonists didn't like that they couldn't print their own money because then they couldn't use it for what they wanted. The British Government had control over the currency so they really liked this act. “HGarecht.” ChronoZoom

    Declaratory Act
    This act affirmed its power to the colonies, this power of course came from the British Parliament. The colonists didn't like this at all because they were being controlled by the British.   • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act taxed documents, legal papers, letters, newspapers, any piece of printed paper. The goal for this act was to raise money for the armies that fought in the wars. The colonists once again weren't happy about having to pay for these sorts of these and protested. The British Government had control of all of the colonies.   • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    This act lowered the tax on tea being imported. The colonists were still paying taxes so they were still upset. The British Government was in debt because of all the tea that went to waste and damage it created.
