they organized boycots to get it repealed
they sent army and navy to help enforce the acts -
it closed down the Boston port to everyone colonists retaliated with the fact it takes away their rights as citizens the British army invoiced it and the first continental congress decided to set up a meeting to stop it -
basically, this act made the colony look to a higher power the colonists decided once again to talk about it the British government replied well but they repealed it -
this act was to basically have officials have a better chance with crimes than citizens. colonists thought the act was unnecessary the governments reaction to it was being able to do whatever without any trials
