    The Sugar Act of 1764
    The Sugar act lowered the tax of molasses from 6 pence to 3 pence per gallon. They did this to enforce colonists to actually pay the tax and buy the English. The colonists were very about the whole thing and the sugar act was taken away in 1765 and replaced with the Stamp act.

    The Stamp Act was imposed to make colonists pay for every piece of printed paper. i was enforced by having a stamp on the paper they used and no paper was accepted legally unless it had that stamp. They used it to pay for protection of the american frontier. The colonist did not respond to it very well. they felt they didn't need to pay taxes that weren't issued by their own representatives.

    The quartering act of 1765
    The quartering act of 1765 made it so living space and food would be provided for British soldiers in bunkers made by colonists. Colonists thought this conflicted with the Bill of Rights and refused to agree with the act.

    The New York Restraining act of 1767 made it so New York couldn't pass any new bills until they agreed with The Quartering Act. New York finally agreed with the quartering acts and payed for soldiers because if they didn't they would be punished.

    The Revenue Act of 1767
    The revenue act placed taxes on a lot of things like glass, paper, tea, etc.. This was enforced and people were punished for smuggling goods. Similar to the stamp act, colonists were offended that they had to pay taxes that weren't issued by their own representatives.
