french and Indian war
The french and Indian war was a long one that lasted from 1754-1763, at the end of the war the British won against the French and Native Americans groups who sided with the French. The victory for the British won them tons of land but also got them tons of debt which means they have to find a way to pay that debt, they looked at the colonists to pay the debt and that cause a lot of tensions between them. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering act is a law that the British made that local colonists must give British soldiers food and let them enter their home for them to rest and sleep, the colonists were very upset and then was repealed also like the stamp act and sugar act and it was repealed in 1770. -
Stamp Act
Due to the British winning the war they gained a lot of land and debt so the 1st direct tax that the British put which tax on legal documents, newspapers, etc which the colonists did not like and they started to protest a lot which put more tension between them. The Stamp act was repealed on March 18th,1766 ,After all of the protests and objections of the colonists but the British said they still have to power to tax them. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a horrible event that changed history, there was a group of British soldiers who were being verbally abused and having random objects and snowballs thrown at them, apparently the British soldiers heard Someone yell fire and they shot at the colonists which 5 were killed while some were injured, -
