In 1436 Gutenberg began designing a machine that was able to produce pages of text at a very fast speed. In 1454 Gutenberg used his printing press to creat thousands of indulgances for the church. The next year he created his famous 42-line bible, which was the first book created by a moveable press.

On October, 12 1492 Columbus spoted land and landed in the Bahamas and went on shore that same day and claimed the land for spain.
