"David" made by sculptor Donatello is the first depiction. David is shown to be more effeminate and nude. He is wearing what appears to be a sun hat and hold a rock with the slingshot in one hand whilst standing on the head of Goliath. -

The End
All of the Early Italian Renaissance artists have died off as well as those that have been a part of the High Renaissance. No one can make works that can compete with them and the Mannerist style takes over.
