    Having things in Common
Relationships are a powerful thing. Humans aren't meant to be alone, so relationship in general, with friends, or family can be very important. To have good relationships you should have things in common with the other person or group. If you have things in common, your relationship should be successful. If not then their would be a lot of tension, which is not good. "There should be no scope of conflicts and misunderstandings in a relationship.” (Pg. 5).

    Communication
The best thing to have in any relationship is communication. If you do not have communication no one will know your dislikes and likes. There will always be misconceptions. “Individuals need to communicate with each other effectively for better understanding.” (Pg. 6). Another thing that ties into communication is honesty, if you don't have honesty then there's no trust between each other, which overall means no relationship.
  • Time

    Time
One very simple thing you can do is take time. Before starting a relationship you should take the time to get to know someone. Or just make time for them in general. If you don't make time for someone, how do you expect to make connections with them? Time should be apart of every relationship, especially if you want the other person to feel good about themselves and the relationship. “Every relationship needs time and an individual’s effort to grow. ” (Pg. 6).

    My Relationship
I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year and the way I keep our relationship healthy is to make sure we have strong communication. My boyfriend and I have good communication and agree on must things. We're honest with each other, and if we have a problem with something; we definitely talk about it. When we talk about it we discuss what upset us, why it upset us, and how can we fix the problem now so that we don't have to deal with it again in the future.
