Day by day the number of refugees is increasing because of wars that are happening all over the world. These unlucky people are searching for a new ,better and happier life not only for themselves but also for their children and their families . It is our duty to help them get back their life and get over the terror they went through. -
The number of refugees that can be successfully integrated
I live in a quite big city in Greece called Kozani. Kozani can welcome up to 2000 refugees who can live there in good, human conditions and can hopefully be successfully integrated in the society. The integration of the refugees is an important task to be done in order both the refugees and the locals to live peacefully and feel safe in their town. -
Jobs opportunities for the refugees
The task of integration may be a little tricky but it can be done if we find ways to help them start their new life here. So I think that if the local services or the local business owners start offering jobs to the refugees ,they will help the process of integration to be done faster and more effectively. As a result, the refugees gradually are going to get used to the life in their new place of residence -
How schools can help
Expect from the job opportunities for the adults ,the children also have to live the life that the inhumanity of the war deprived them of. They have to go to school ,make friends and make up for the lost time of their childhood . For that reason I believe that schools have the responsibility to offer a place and teachers to the refugee children in order to attend classes. If the children learn the Greek language then they will be able to communicate with the locals and be easily integrated . -
The benefits for the local community
The local community of the city can also be benefited by the refugees because they are going to boost the local economy, as they will be consumers not only for the big but also for the small businesses all over the city. They can also be labourers so as to start running new businesses. Finally new people in the city means new ways of thinking new life ideals and food for thought for all the local residents
