ACCOMMODATIONS
With Kozani having roughly 60.000 inhabitants, about 5.000 refugees could be successfully integrated in the city.
For this to happen we, as a community, need to build new accommodations and upgrade preexisting one's."Basic comforts" like communal showers, sleeping quarters and heating are some of the most important things these people should have. -
SUPPORT THE REFUGEES
Refugees shouldn't be put behind bars.They're humans too and should be treated that way.
Mental support is something all of them desperately need. Medical care of course is also in the same category, with it being achievable through donations and volunteer doctors. -
LOCALS CAN HELP TOO
Locals can help the situation by donating basic foodstuff, baby products, clothing, etc.
Small food banks are also something that could help facilitate food sharing amongst refugees. -
INTEGRATION IN THE CITY'S ECONOMY
By integrating refugees in our city, we are also integrating them in the city's economy. This will positively affect the city in multiple factors. Some may start working and providing manpower for the city. While others just spend their allowance in local shops.
This will upgrade the life quality for both citizens and refugees.
