Because Kozani is not a very big town, it can't accept a big amount of refugees. Our substructures are few and we can only accept about 2.000 refugees. -

There are a lot of businesses that can be developed. Specifically agricultural jobs that include all kinds of farm work.For instance, in many villages in Kozani the only way of making money is harvesting tobbaco plants, saffron, peach and cotton. Moreover, they could open their own shops with traditional products from their countries. -
The way my school can help
There are various ways a school can help refugees. Firstly, school can organise charities for people to collect money, a fund raising event where they can donate clothes, food, toys and medicines or make a plan for potential arrivals. Also, they can help refugee's children learn the Greek language by offering free Greek lessons and students can also help refugees learn Greek in their free time. -
The potential benefits for local community
Accepting refugees is a win for the receiving country and the communities that host them. By providing them with the right to work, to health, and to education, refugees can start productive lives in their host countries. The faster they can integrate into the labor force, the faster they can become productive members of society. In addition, the more people participating in a countrys economy the better.
