At 6 months my parents would
read bedtime stories to me. In
addition, my Dad would make up stories for my siblings and
myself. This allowed me to
imagine new ideas and stories.
Also was starting to say
simple sounds. -
Bilingual at this age. Able to speak English and Chinese.

Named familiar objects. Had a favorite book that I loved to hear over and over.

Learned about phonics and how to say words and sentences.

Learned how to start putting sentences together.

Started reading chapter books and writing book reports.

Started to research about topics and wrote reports about them or made powerpoints.

Started to write research papers.

Had class discussions on topics that we were learning, not just in English class.

Learned about poetry. In addition, when we read books our teacher put us into groups and we had to have our own discussions.
