    Muslim Moors begin to meet Arabs and then crossed the Strait of Gibralatar and headed to Pyrenees and they took over Septimania.
  • Dec 21, 722

    Battle of Covadonga

    This happened in the north - west of Iberia and also this started the Chirstian Reconquista.
  • 1085

    Toledo reconquered by Castilian forces

    The city Toledo was reconquered by Castilian Forces.
  • 1147

    Siege of Lisbon

    Forces from the Second Crusade and the Kingdom of Portugal took out the Moorish Forces.
  • 1236

    Reconquered by the Christians

    Half of Iberia was reconquered by the Christians. Cadiz seized by Castilian Forces attacking from the sea.
  • 1249

    King Afonso the Third

    King Afonso takes Faro which made Portugual stop being in the Reconquista.
  • 1492

    Treaty of Granada

    This treaty ended the Reconquista.

  • Muslim Moors begin to Rule

    Muslims began to rule the christians and almost took over all of the Iberian Penninsula, Pyrennes, and part of Southern France.

  • The Franks

    The Franks reconquered France, Pyrennes, and Barcelona and they established the Spanish March.

  • Moorish Garrison driven out of Galicia

    Moorish Garrison was driven out of Galicia by Asturian-Galician forces.

  • Reconquest of the city of Porto

    When this city was reconquered, it lead to the establishment of the county of Portucale.

  • Took over North - West

    When the Christians took over the North - West, the Muslims retook Barcelona.
