Established four new colonies. King established the proclamation so that the colonials would not expand into indian teritory. -
Sugar Act
The sugar act reduced the rate of tax from six pence to three pence per gallon. Listed more foreign goods to be taxed such as sugar. -
Stamp Act
Imposed direct tax on British parliament and it required many printed materials to be produced on stamp paper. -
Toenshend Acts
Passsed by English parliament after the stamp act. Designed to collect revenue from the colonists in America by putting costum duties on imports. -
Boston Massacure
British troops fired into a crowd and killed five men. -
Bosten Tea Party
Parliament retained the tax on tea as a symbol of its right to tax the colonie. In Bosten three tea ships arrived and some colonists disguised as native americans and threw the tea into the harbor. -
Intorable Acts
Limited the political and geographical freedom of the colonists. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
Started the American Revelutionary War .
