Nancy Drew
This was one of my favorite book series, especially when I was in fourth grade. I read so many of them that year, and it really solidified my love of reading. -
Librarian
My elementary school librarian was the best! She always recommended new books and really took an interest in my reading. -
Harry Potter
This is when I first read Harry Potter. This is still one of my favorite books series. -
Favorite English Teacher
These are the years I had my favorite and best English teacher. She helped me understand what I was reading on a higher level and introduced me to some of my favorite books, such as The Stranger by Albert Camus and Life of Pi by Yann Martel. -
Got back into reading
I fell out of reading for a few years. Between work and school, I just felt like I didn't have much time. It by Stephen King is the book that got me back to reading regularly. -
Read 50 books in 1 year
Last year I read 50 books! This year I am already past that and hoping to reach 100 by December 31. -
Started Writing Fiction and Poetry
This year I took a creative writing class. It really helped me to not only understand how to write better, but I have already noticed that it has made me a better reader. I recognize elements of writer's style frequently.
