    These are the years I had my favorite and best English teacher. She helped me understand what I was reading on a higher level and introduced me to some of my favorite books, such as The Stranger by Albert Camus and Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

    This year I took a creative writing class. It really helped me to not only understand how to write better, but I have already noticed that it has made me a better reader. I recognize elements of writer's style frequently.
