    Dora at Daycare
    On my first day of daycare I was around 3 years old and I was sobbing because I missed my parents. The thing is when I crying one of the teachers tried to read me a Dora book, and it made it worse.
  • Green Eggs and Ham

    Green Eggs and Ham
    When I was in kindergarten the teacher read the book Green Eggs and Ham to the class. Later my mother made some for me and I ate it.

    When I was taking my first ever state mandated test I think I had my first epiphany, which was I really don't like reading. I had an atrocious score, a score so bad the school had to check if English was my first language.

    In 4th grade I got in trouble from my father because I never did my work for school. This led to him demanding me to read this star wars book I had. Instead of reading I looked at the wall.

    I was failing English concurrently in the 5th grade and I never put an effort into the class or the work I did. I think it was because reading never worked for me. The reading specialist at the school would even take me for 1 on 1 times.

    In middle school I bought a bunch of graphic novels and I never read them. I not quite sure why I did that but I think it was because I liked the covers a lot. I did read Smile though!

    In eight grade I took out some manga novels from the school library and I decided to actually read for once in my life.

    In my freshman year of high school I was against reading for the fullest extent for some reason. Throughout the entire year I never read the books that were assigned and managed to survive.

    In 10th Grade I decided to actually start reading and became slightly better at it.
