After letter sounds or in unison, I learned the most common sight words. -
Easy Readers
I loved easy readers and Dr. Seuss books. The first sight word and memorized text I can recall. -
Babysitter Club Novels
I owned nearly every Babysitters Club Novel ever written. My first true series that I read cover to cover. My love of reading grew within these pages. -
Nancy Drew Mystery Novels
My love of series reading grew from the Babysitters Club to classics within Nancy Drew. -
School Novel Assignments
My range of reading grew from my own picks to those required by school. Some I enjoyed, others I did not. However my love for others genres grew. -
Story Writing
I became an author myself for many school assignments. Not only was my reading influenced by my own thoughts, but by what I had read as well. -
College Level Reading
Reading became more of a chore and for education rather than for pleasure.
