  Since I was born, my parents never read to me as a baby or a toddler.

  The first time I actually liked reading, I was in 10th grade. It was my English class; we read "The Hunger Games." It was very interesting and it didn't bore me.

  I had the same teacher as I did in 10th grade. We read "The Great Gatsby" and "Of Mice and Men." I really enjoyed those books and they made me venture out for more interesting books.

  When I started college, I was in for a rude awakening. I wasn't ready for all the textbooks I had to read. I struggled with finding a textbook that interested me.

  I do not like reading! I am not able to just sit and read a book for entertainment. The only books I read are my textbooks for school. My parents didn't read to me as a child and this caused me to hate reading to this day.
