Amadas and Barlowe
In April, these people were some of the first to make it to the Roanoke islands. They left England in April and arrived in June. They were to claim land 600 miles north, west, east, and south. -
Manteo and Wanchese
These two men were the Natives met on the 2nd day of the expedition. These people were very nice to the new people. The Natives then were brought to England after 6 weeks. -
Ralph Lane Colony
The Ralph Lane colony had 7 ships filled with men and sent them to Roanoke island to build homes for their families when they arrive in 10 months. -
The End
The colony didn't pack enough food and the ships that were supposed to go to england and get food were raided by pirates. They told the families to return and the colony left 15 people behind to protect the colony.
