Atahualpa was overconfident. His plan was to kill Pizzaro's men and keep the others as his slaves. Pizzaro also had his own plan. He and his men kidnapped Atahualpa, then Atahualpa told Pizzaro's men that they can have all the gold that they want if they don't spare his life, he stuck to his word but the Spanish did not. They killed him. Soon the Spanish became cruel rulers of the Incan Empire. -
