Boston Massacre 1770
It was a group of protesters threw rocks at the British soldiers, and were shot at for it. -
Tea Act 1773
It was an act that excused the company from paying certain duties and permitted it to sell tea directly to American agents. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a taunting sign to Britain that they would not accept anymore taxes. It involved a group of colonists boarding ships and throwing 342 crates of tea into the harbor. -
1st Continental Congress
It was a group of representitves from every colony except Georgia that met in Philadelphia. they discussed about their opinions and plans for the Revolutionary War. -
Quebec Act 1774
This act extended the boundary of Quebec to the Ohio RIver. -
Coercive Acts 1774
It was a series of laws known as the Tea Act, Boston Port Act and other acts. They are also know as the Intolerable Acts. -

These battles were one of the first battles in the Revolutionary War. -

This had the same purpose for the 1st meeting, but they mainly discussed about a declaration for independence from Britain. -
Olive Branch Petition
This document stated that some colonists wanted to keep their ties with Britain, but were rejected.It was written by John Dickinson. -

This document is the guidline for our country today. It declared that we wanted break from Britain and symbolizes that America is an independent country.
