    His execution was lead at the Banqueting house at Whitehall. Many thought this was impossible, as he was said to be put in power by god.

    Revocation of the Edict of Nantes.
    The edict of Nantes granted the Huguenots religious freedom. Once it was revoked by Louis XIV, and took away the peoples freedom.
  • Glorious Revolution.

    Glorious Revolution.
    The glorious Revolution was nicknamed the Bloodless revolution, for obvious reasons. It overthrew King James II, and in his place was his daughter, and William of Orange.

    Declaration of Independence.
    The declaration of dependence was written by Thomas Jefferson. It was written for the purpose of breaking free from Spain.

    The Estates General was the assembly of the classes of the French people. There were separate assemblies for each class.

    The storming of the Bastille took place as a act of terror. It took place during the french revolution, and had a part in causing the reign of terror.

    Its first act declared a republic and abolish the Monarchy. Given extreme power which led to the reign of terror.

    The Coup of 18 brought Napoleon into power as the first consul. It overthrew the directory and ended the French Revolution.

    The congress of Vienna
    The Congress of Vienna was a meeting of European ambassadors. It was called to create balance between European states.

    Ended the first opium war. Granted rights to Britain, as china had done to other states.
