First Media Exposure
This was the year I was born. Even though I was only an infant, my parents already exposed me to different types of media. They would play music for me, read stories, and more. -
TV & Movies
Around this time, I began regularly watching TV shows and movies. As a toddler, I really liked cartoons and I would watch shows with my brothers. Some of my favorite TV shows were Spongebob, Hannah Montana, and Suite Life of Zack and Cody. -
Basic Technology & Media Platforms
I was exposed to forms of basic technology, such as home computers, at this age. I was also introduced to basic media platforms (ex. Facebook) through my parents. -
Reading & Writing; Digital Games
By this age, I could already read and write properly. I began reading children's books, such as The Hungry Caterpillar and Cat in the Hat. I was also allowed to use gadgets at this time, and I liked to play games on our computer. -
First Gadget
I got my first gadget at this age, which was my Nintendo DS Lite. I had lots of fun playing different games on it, and I was even able to play together with my friends. I also started reading more media at this age, such as books, newspapers, and magazines. -
iPod touch & Social Media
I got an iPod touch this year, which was more advanced than any other gadget I'd gotten before. I could play games on it, take pictures, message other people, and more. I also created accounts on various social media platforms that year, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Yahoo. -
First phone
I got my first phone that year, which was an iPhone 4. By this time, I was already used different gadgets on a day-to-day basis. -
My Own Computer
I got my own desktop computer in 2014, and still use it until now. Even though I'd used family laptops before, I never had any computer that was mine to use before this. -
Newer Technology
Around this time, I was introduced to some of the newer innovations in technology. Examples of these are Virtual Reality devices, home AIs, and 3D printers.
