    We will give Buy One Get One Free coupons for any items on the menu. We will distribute these coupons through direct mailing, to the emails of all customers who have provided their email address to our company (this means they are fans of the company and plan to return.) This promotional strategy will improve our image because it shows we care about our customers by giving them a discount, and shows that we still want their business and are prepared to make necessary improvements to the company.
  • Sweepstakes

    Sweepstakes
    For our sweepstakes, we will place a coffee mug near the cash register that people can put their names in and at a certain time we will draw one name from the mug who will receive a $100 gift card. This will improve the restaurant image because it will add something fun to the business that customers can participate in and it will give them a reason to come back.

    We will start loyalty cards. Each customer will receive a card, and every purchase after that they get a hole punched in their card. After 10 punches, they will receive a $10 giftcard to use on anything on the menu. I selected this promotional strategy because after the incident in the newspaper, we need to make sure customers have a reason to keep coming. This will improve the image of the restaurant because this also shows that we care about our customers and value their loyalty.

    We will offer samples of our different brews of coffee using all different beans. This will appeal to coffee drinkers more than the younger people who come for the more sugary drinks, so we won’t lose a lot of money. We will offer free samples to people at the door, so they can taste it before they order and they may consider purchasing it. This will improve our image because when you go somewhere with free samples, you remember the free samples that you like and it may bring you back.
  • Traffic Builders

    We will do one day of traffic builders. Each person to visit the shop that day will receive a free cookie with their purchase. This is a good promotional strategy because it won’t lose us too much money. It appeals to everyone and will bring in a lot of business. If a family comes in on this day, everyone in the family will want a free cookie. This will improve the restaurant image because customers will remember the free cookie, rather than remembering the negative headlines.
