    magna carta is signed

    The magna carta limited the power of monarchs and was the begining of a constitutional monarchy.
  • Jan 1, 1534

    King Henry VII forms the anglican church.

    King Henrey VII creates, and apoints himself the head of, the anglican church to get a divorce the pope refused.
  • Nov 17, 1558

    Elizibeth takes the crown

    Queen Elizibeth, aka the virgin queen comes into power after the fall of her sister Mary and is well liked.
  • Jul 24, 1567

    king james I takes the throne

  • The english civil war

    The english civil war was fought over who had the most power, the monarch or the parliment

  • Charles I is beheaded

    Charles is beheaded for treason

  • Oliver Cromwell dies

    Cromwell died of typhoid fever

  • The Glorious revolution

    King James II is overthrown by William of orange.

  • The English Bill of Rights is signed.

    Parliment invited catherine and William to invade England if they signed the Bill of rights wich gave more power to the parliment.
