18 amendment
the 18th amendment prohibited the “manufacture, sale, or transportation” of alcohol. however, in 1933, the 21st Amendment to the Constitution was passed and ratified, ending national Prohibition. -
19 amendment
The 19 amendment granted women the right to vote. This ended almost a century of protest. -
Child Labor Act
children were working in dangerous factors until this act was passed. it is a movement that restricted how many hours children were allowed to work by prohibiting the employment of children under the age of fourteen in factories producing goods for interstate commerce.
