It established a code all tenements had to abide by for safety and Sanitary reasons. -

It stands for National Association for the Advancement of Colored people. They wanted to abolish segregation, establish equal justice, and for equal education opportunities. -
Niagara movement
Racism is getting worse in the United States. So famous black writer and activist W.E.B. DuBois created the niagara movement to try and end racism. -

It was one of the most deadly fires to happen in the US. -
17th Amendment
It allowed the direct electing of senators. -
Carrie Chapman Catt elected NAWSA President
She was so successful she brought women's suffrage to the national level. -
Keating-Owen Child Labor Act
It was supposed to stop child labor by stopping the selling of anything produced by child laborers. -
18th Amendment
They banned the manufacturing, sale, and transportation of liquor, but it had a flaw because it never drinking was illegal. -
19th Amendment
Gave all citizens the right to vote and was not particular about gender.
